Letter to the Future

Dear future freshman,
Photography 1 is a class for people who love the art of taking and editing pictures in their everyday life inside and outside of school. If this sounds like you, then you're in the right class! This class comes with responsibilities such as, taking photos outside of school, staying on track of the work load, and giving your all in this class. If you want to get the full experience out of this class then do your work and truly try your hardest with every project given to you. Stretch your ideas and dig deeper than your first idea because this is a creative class and to get everything out of it, you have to put all of your creativity into it. At times it was challenging to find a strong photo idea or figure out how to execute it correctly but having a class where you can be creative and take pictures for fun is so important to take away from the stress of all of your other classes.

In this class, you are given projects where you can take your time completing but you have to make sure that you don't fall behind with every other project. You will be able to view every project on the class blog. Project may just be editing where you don't have to take photos and some might be homework where you have to take photos at home. If you don't time out each project wisely, you will be overflowing with work and this class won't be a fun, creative class anymore. You are expected to have your assignments submitted on your blog before progress reports and the end of the quarter.

To be successful in photo 1, you have to stay on track with all of the projects that are on your class blog. You must also truly love photography so you'll put all of your effort into each project. Your goal for each project should be making sure that you're happy with each final photo before you submit it. Go as far as you can with each project, it will allow you to learn and grow throughout the duration of the year.

   Good Luck!
